Crafting an Apparel Range for Ford
Brand& created the team kit for Ford, as well as a range of branded clothing and accessories, for the Ford GT racing team, which competed in 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), the IMSA Sportscar Championship, and at the Le Mans 24 Hours.
The team ran two cars in the IMSA Sportscar Championship and two in the WEC, and all four cars competed at Le Mans as it looked to replicate Ford’s famous 1-2-3 outright victory at the race in 1966.
The 2016 WEC season started at Silverstone in mid-April, so Brand& designed, manufactured, and delivered all the team kit in just 12 weeks. The full range of clothing and accessories was then launched prior to the biggest and most important race in the calendar, the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.
A spokesman at Ford said: “This is the most important new motorsport programme for Ford in many years. We have invested significant time and effort to ensure the new Ford GT is a success. To that end, it was vital to provide team clothing and products to our fans that captured this excitement. We look forward to working with Brand& to deliver Ford branded merchandise that celebrates the return of the Ford GT to racing around the world.”
